HEY EVERYONE!

That’s right, with less than a day to go, we have crossed our 45K threshold, and unlocked another stretch goal, which means everyone with a pledge $35 or higher is now receiving the Invasion Proxy adventure as part of their reward!

The opponents in this adventure are cybernetic abominations created via an alien nano-bomb that has landed in the city. We’ve got small opponents, big ones, and those that can fly.

NEXT REWARD

Yes, we do have a 50K reward. It expands on the Desert Power Supplement. This will at least double its content into a full release, add illustrations, and expand into other rules inspired by different expressions of the genre. Despite its growth into its own release, it will still be included in ANY pledge that includes the base Ultramodern5 rulebook. 

This is an additional reward, not a replacement for the original Desert Power title, which means if you have not backed this project and already own UM5, this new release will not be included as DLC. So let’s get to $50K!

HEY EVERYONE!

William’s done most of the updates, but I wanted to tackle this one. It’s been a great journey, and we’re almost at the end. I wanted to say how much I appreciate your support, both in comments and in pledges. 

We just crossed $40K, which means we scratched off another stretch goal, increasing the amount of artwork in these new adventures. Given the surge that often occurs within the last few days, I am confident that we’ll cross the next as well, adding another adventure into the mix.

INVASION PROXY

Invasion Proxy is an alt-universe military story that puts the players in the Green Zone in Iraq when an alien force invades. It was obviously inspired by the movie Battle LA, so I hope you all enjoy it. Once we cross 45K, it will be included in all pledges $35 and up. This adventure is an expanded version of the one included in the original 1st edition of Ultramodern5, released in 2016.

LEATHER EDITION FEATURES 

Secondly, while no one has asked, I wanted to clarify that the leather edition is intended to be in a case of some kind, either a slipcase like the deluxe edition or a clamshell like what we did for the Affinity set. We didn’t include that in the image because, currently, we are locking down on what it will be. The leather edition is intended to be the ultimate version of this book.

Dear Backers,

We are on the cusp of greatness! We are just $4,000 away from unlocking an array of amazing artwork for our adventures and campaign settings. This will elevate the visuals and provide stunning artwork that will breathe life into the worlds you will be exploring.

The countdown has begun, with just 7 days to go. Our Cyberpunk Heist adventure has been taking shape thanks to your input. DeltaHaven, the crime-ridden vertical city partitioned into various districts, has come to life. One of our major NPCs, Benny Jetpack Rodriguez, operates out of The Rusty Knuckle. This sports bar, with a nostalgic ambiance showing classic sports movies from the 90s such as Air Bud and Sandlot, is the hub for gear, supplies, and intel.

We have one final poll that launches tomorrow, and it is going to be exhilarating. You have the opportunity to name the terrorist cell that is menacing DeltaHaven and to define their motives. Their eerie uniformity is baffling - they seem to share a single consciousness. When faced with capture, they not only commit suicide but engage in a strange ritual of washing their faces with an acid. This liquid not only corrodes their features but also imbues their skin with a blue hue. The most astonishing aspect is the effect on their DNA. The genetic material undergoes rapid mutation and degradation. The codons break down erratically, producing new, dangerous strains of pathogens. From a scientific perspective, the hypermutation of their DNA could be seen as a defense mechanism, although its rapid transformation into pathogens is a biohazard. Authorities have had to resort to incinerating the bodies promptly to prevent the risk of outbreaks.

We cannot express our gratitude enough for the incredible support you've shown. The excitement is palpable as we eagerly prepare to write Clonefall and the other adventures. Your enthusiasm and contributions are the fuel that drives this project.
